I am a first time Siberian Husky owner and I adopted her from a local shelter (pretty sure she is a pure breed). So I have a few questions. First, Capri (the husky) is, I'm guessing, around 2 or so years old yet she acts like a much older dog. She tends to lay around and sleep. I think that this might be because I live in a 960 sq. foot apartment with my girlfriend and the only time she gets to go out is in the morning real quick, in the afternoon after she eats (for a typical 30-45min. walk some time run), at night around 8ish (for another 30-45min. walk), and right before I go to bed so she can do her business. We'll also at time just go outside and hang out so she can smell around and not be inside. So I was wondering if that was enough, and if it isn't what should I do because she seems a little depressed and antisocial at times? Second, I was wondering how I can get her to start eating dry food without having wet food mixed in? The only reason for this is that about a month or so before I adopted her she stopped eating dry food, so the shelter thought it was a good idea to give her wet food with it. Now my dog food bill is huge because she will only eat dry food when it's mixed with wet food. Third, Capri is not only antisocial at time with my girlfriend and I but she is very antisocial with other dogs. She acts like she want to play (wagging her tail and talking) but when she gets to close to other dogs she gets aggressive almost supper excited and she ends up biting the other dogs. How can I get her used to being around other dogs without worrying if she's going to attack them? The last question I have is my husky tends to have problems going to the bathroom (pooping). She'll be fine for a long time going twice a day (afternoon and night, and sometimes in the morning and at night right before bed) but then all of a sudden she will only go in the afternoon and stop going at night. So what is going on with her patterns of pooping? If there is anyone out there that can help me with one or all of my questions I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
