You can make your own with an extract that is found in home brew shops, just add water and sugar.  I do believe amazon.com also has it.  Look in your local yellow pages under "beer making supplies"

Check the flavorings section of your local supermarket.
You will find Root Beer Extract.
It is made by several companies.
There was a recipe on the back of the box that the bottle came in on the one I have. Don't have the box anymore.
Good luck

I found this site when I was looking for Aunt Wick's root beer drink mix (a Kool-Aid wannabe)   It has also been discontinued and I can't find any root beer mix in a packet.  I wish KoolAid would bring it back - it makes great root beer pops that we all love in our house.

I just e-mailed the Co. that made "Fizzies" and pretty-much begged them to start making them in all flavors and to sweeten them with "Spenda".
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Oh ya, E-bay has some Fizzies up for auction.

I found 22 packets of Aunt Wicks Root Beer Flavor about 2 years ago on the shelf in PA.  I bought them all.  I have been offered $5.00 each for them already, not selling, special occasions use.  The Flavorade Root Beer Mix from Jel Sert is close, but not quite the same.  However, it is the only brand that I am aware of on the market at this time.  Good Luck!

Me and my family really miss root beer kool aid. We bought it all the time. Now we are really trying to find it and bring it back. We also made the root beer pops. If anyone has anymore information on how to get their hands on or bring root beer kool aid back please, display answer on this website.
Thank you.

Here's a recipe to make your own syrup:

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 TBSP Extract (root beer extract for you)

Bring sugar and water to a full boil and sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and stir in extract. Cool completely.

Add 1/2oz to 1oz of your syrup to 16oz of water.

Syrup is great on shaved ice, fresh snow, and in sparkling water. You can make sryup out of any Kool-aid packet (use one packet/recipe; omit sugar if using sugar-free Kool-aid). And make POPSICLES using a ratio of 1 part syrup to 2 parts water!

HTH!

I just got some flavor-aid root beer mix but still wish kool-aid would bring it back.  Does anyone have a recipe for root beer fudge that use to be on root beer drink mix packages in the 80's?
