I have a VW Golf 3 1800 GTS 96. The problem I'm experiencing...

I have a VW Golf 3 1800 GTS 96. The problem I'm experiencing is bad fuel consumption. I went through the fuel lines (From pump to the fuel injection system) to check for leaks. No leaks at all. I will take 15 litres of fuel in the tank and get about 130KM and the tank is empty again. Can some one help me.
