Hi, I have a 1988 Chrsyler New Yorker with a 3.0 ltr. engine that was staring and running fine until I got the engine wet while washing the car and cleaning the underside of the hood, Now the engine cranks but will not start, I will start and run momentarly with starting fluid, Could it possibly be a bad fuel pump relay, fuse, clogged fuel filter and defective fuel pump? The car was sitting for sometime since I started last night for the first time in six months.
