My Boston Terrier has been doing what looks like vomiting but she doesn't heave. One moment she's playing and the next she becomes wobbly on her feet and lethargic. Moments later she vomits.  The Vet has no idea what's happening. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?

Missy (my Terrier)weighs about 2 lbs. I bought her from a breeder. Her mom and dad are full bred but the puppy has no papers.

I have a 11 week old boston male who is doing the same thing.  We had him on antibiotics for a week, and it didn't help.  We have no idea what is going on.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this.

Have your Vet check your Bostons Pancreas
Bostons are prone to this disorder

If your dog is still displaying these symptons, have the pancreas and kidney check.  You should also insist on a culture being done.  If your dog drinks immediately after vormiting, it's the kidney that may be infected.  I also suggest getting a second opinion.  We, humans, do so why not do the same for dogs.  One doctor may pick up on something another doctor didn't.

Hi,
I have two Bt's and one Frenchie. They all have spasms and choke but my 8 year old BT George chokes then vomits and it is liquidy and foamy as stated by others. Our expensive vet looks at him and says he is fine. He wanted me to medicate him 2 times a day for stomach spasms but George refuses pills (big time). Besides I think it is more serious. I am going to another vet for a second opinion because it has gotten worse. He vomits at least 3 times a day. He is on a strick diet. He just looks sad lately also.

HI everyone,
My Boston is 7 months now and he does not vomit anymore. He used to do the same thing that you all have been describing. My vet says it is because they are little and their stomach is VERY sensitive to any kind of food. He just needs to get used to food. Make sure he is not sick by the vet and if dog is ok, I would wait until he is grown a little. It should stop. It worked for mine, and I did not have to medicate him. Good thing is to stay with the same food.

MY BOSTON, BAILEY, DOES THE SAME THING. HE WILL EITHER GAG AND NOTHING WILL COME OUT AND JUST GO ABOUT HIS BUSINESS OR JUST A BIT OF FOOD WILL COME OUT. HE DOESNT DO THIS EVERY DAY BUT MAYBE A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK.

I have a 4 week old boston terrier pup who started vomiting 3 days ago. It happens about 6 hours after she eats and it is usually clear. We have no idea why she is doing it. Other then that she is very playful and spunky.

I had 4 Boston and they all did the same thing, it seams when they get nervous or so they will.
I relay would not worried to much about it. maybe change there diet and lest food and more water, also i used to give them a tum'sonce in a while. If they look or seem sick after the vomit, them try diferent Vet's. it's better to get a 2nd opion like we do. after all our baby pets are part of us.

I have a 7 month boston terrier and she does the same. Its because of her snout. Its not like other dogs and she gets stuff into her nose and it makes her do a vomit like substance thats white. It happens every once in a while. All dogs with the smaller snout have this problem. Its just the air way and something getting into it.

I just had this problem.  The vets had no idea so I switched for a 2nd opinion and found out that she had pancreitus (sorry for the spelling) and that it was caused from food that they can not digest and that the food was pretty much stuck in her stomach and creating bacteria.  This can not be solved with your typical antibotics but the dog has to stay overnight at the vet on an IV for 24 hrs and then they can go home.  There after they will give you a pill and liquid form of antibotic that should be given twice daily.  Mostly what they will tell you is to put them on a very strict diet with all natural ingredients.  Hope this helps

I have a boston terrier, Dixie,  I've only had her for a couple months she is only 14 weeks old.  We are having the vomiting problem too.  We have racked up quite a bill at the vet but still don't know what is wrong.  She vomits so much that I have to give her fluids under the skin.  I just read a page about elongated palates.  I guess this breed is known for it.  You might check up on it.
