Hello,

Firstly, please email any response to iw201@gre.ac.uk as well as posting for others.

We think you might be able to help us. Our Sony (KV28WF1u) TV has recently gone on the blink and remain on standby.
We've looked at several websites and one diagnosed the problem near precisely with the sony TV we have.

The TV we reverts to standby and the led flashes twice, pauses, then flashes twice, pauses...

The website

listed the LED flashing twice pausing and flashing twice as a "common fault" in this particular model.  Is this a fault due to the cathode ray tube as we think the website is saying?  if so where would this be found and is it easy to replace?   Another website

(http://groups.google.com/group/italia.test/browse_thread/thread/c68687052798fca9/aa1da27bf6629d19lnk=st&q=led+22KV28WF1U%22+(flash+OR+flashing+OR+blink+OR+blinking
&rnum=1&hl=en#aa1da27bf6629d19)

has said the fault could either be "over current" or "field fault".

Do you have any suggestions as to what the fault maybe and how to cure it? We know nothing about fixing TV'sbut are willing to try, so as much help as possible would very much appreciated.

Remember to please email the response to iw201@gre.ac.uk as well as posting for others.

Many thanks,

Jay
