the Australian's were involved in the Vietnamese war because vietnamese did not have enough people to fight for their  country.

australian military involvement in the vietnma war was the longest duration of nay war in australian history. the involvement lasted over 11 years between august 1962 and june 1973. according to the nominal roll of australian vietnam vertrans more than 59, 000 asustrlians were severed in vietnam during the war period.

and even though Ive already put one in id just like to say that they did not get forced at the start it was completely there own choice but then when that smart Alic guy came in and changed the conscription then they got forced to do it even though i think that they would have done it any way

Aussie'swere involved in 1962 - 1972 they were obliged to take part due to them being a signatory in the s.e.a.t.o treaty and also the fear of the domino effect and Asian communist rule!   beat that. we're sittin in modern history with 15 minutes to go!

The australians where involved because the Amricans belaive in democratic and didnt want any more countries becoming a communist country... As we are allies with the americans we joined in 2

Australia was scared that the threat of communism would reach Australian shores.
thats why they to vietnam and fought with the south vietnamese government
