I just recently (for third time) had to have my front
brake rotors replaced on my 2002 Toyota Corolla.

My car is four years old with 112,000 miles.

Toyota’s explanation: brake pads are now made of
a metal alloy rather than asbestos, which are hard on
rotors.  They also said that brakes should be adjusted
every 15,000 miles to ensure an even load between the
front and rear brakes.  An uneven load can cause the
rotors to heat up excessively, thus warping the rotors.

Do you know of any after market manufactures that
make rotors and pads which dissipate heat better and/or
stand up better to high-mileage driving?

Respectively yours,
Keith C. Ford
