I am attempting to rewrite a server from scratch using a windows interface.  (My first experience with this).  I would like to have a windows interface with a "console" and an input control, and of course the server core all running and sending messages back and forth.  I've noted that threads are a solution, but I've also heard many say that threads are sometimes overused, and abuse negates usage.  If threads are my best bet, I have two main questions: What order should I create the three threads, and is there an optimal communication technique I could use between the server and the console (out) and input control (in).

Thank you in advance.
