My wife and i have been married for almost 3 years, i am 26 and just starting to get settled in my career, she is 24 and has been ready to have kids for the past two years.
Im so confused about bringing a child into this world in the first place. After 9/11 my eyes and ears have been wide open and i see now how this world is. Im affraid for my future son/daughter because we have allowed this world to be as unsafe as it is.  It seems all in the name of the "almighty economy"  more and more decisions are made on how to Influence where are money is spent.  I guess i would feel alot better about bringing another future "tax paying citizen in to this world" if i knew that The Word "Family" was more important then the word economy and some of the the evils that blind us from the actuality of where our money is going are illuminated for all to see.  Im not asking for a perfect world to happen before having children because i know there is not such a thing. I would like more power to choose what kind of backyard they play in though. In the name of "Family" because i hold it in the very highest of Regard.

My Question is: Am i wrong to be thinking this way before having a child?
