Graham, our 5 year old Golden Retriever/German Shepard/Chow mix had a spinal cord injury with a disc herniation.  The vet said he didn't need surgery, but the gel like fluid around the discs had squirted out.  He doesn't seem to have much feeling in his left rear leg and rarely replaces his paw flat on the ground.  He drags his leg behind him causing him to walk with much difficulty.
Do you know what the chances are of our dog recovering from this injury he sustained while chasing a woodchuck over 2 weeks ago?
We are desperate for information.  They say he's made a huge improvement so far?
I will provide more information if you need it.
Thank you,
Janet
