My mini short hair passed away in Dec. because she died in my 5 year old'sarms, we got another mini (long hair). She was born Jan 2 and has not been able to potty trained no matter what we do.  We take her outside all the time and she will wait until she comes inside, we have tried the dog crate, we tried bitter apple....nothing works help...i do not remember it being this hard with my short hair
