I have a 1989 Plymouth Colt that will not stay running.  At first, it was impossible to start in the morning, but after it started it was good to go for the entire day.  Next morning, same thing.  The check engine light was staying on constantly.
Then, once the car ran for about 15 minutes, it would backfire, miss, and stall out.  It won't restart for about an hour. After it cools down, it will start again and it is good to go for another fifteen minutes or so.  The car has a new battery, spark plugs, distributor, ECM on it.  Nothing has helped it.  I don't know what else to do.  Open for suggestions.
