I'm new and trying to ask this question in the DYI forum.I'm a women with enough construction knowledge to be dangerous.With that said i m trying to build a house for no money if possible-i ve looked into many alternative housing and I'm leaning to shipping container housing.I have a gov surplus surplus place near and im wondering if i could build a slab out of old concrete cinder block and rebar-or Pier and beam-I not only need this to cost as close to 0 as possible -i will live in it and i need it to actually hold up
i thought about a floating foundation--but id still have to hire out- if necessity is the mother of invention-i have a mother of a job ahead of me --and i need to know  the most feasible way to do it. thank you -I cant wait to hear the response
