I am thinking about adopting a chihuahua, that is between 6- 8 yrs old. He is from a rescue shelter. This would be my first chi and I'm wondering is this too old of a dog. I understand that they live around 14 years, but I've never had this breed before. What are their characteristics at this age? Obviously, he wouldn't be as hyper as a puppy, but would he still like to do things? I want to be a good "mom", please let me know if you have any helpful knowledge to share :)
Thanks
