I woke up i the middle of the night to find that my 2 1/2 year old beagle/terrier mix dog's muzzle was swollen twice its size so badly that one of her eyes was almost swollen shut. We got her to the vet immediately for a steroid shot and she was better the next day. The same thing happened one night in October - although slightly less severe. The vet warned next time it could be worse. What could possibly be causing this severe allergic reaction?
