my system is windows xp home edition and i refer to ms office 2000
do you know of a method of using visual basics to create a macros that will perform 2 from 5 ,3from 5 and 4 from 5 conversions as a loop on multiple cells in excel. I was able to create a macros to change one line of 5 combinations(1,2,3,4,5)to 10 lines of 3 eg Line=1,2,3 Line 2=1,2,4 Line 2=1,2,5. but my problem is that the macros is merely a recording hence it duplicates those keystrokes if I were to apply it to a line of 1000 different combinations I would get just 1000 copies of my original recording of the macros. I need it to convert various combinations combinations of of 5s and 6s. If this is not possible do you know of any add in math programmes that can perform these tasks over a 1000 or more lines of combinations.this would save alot of time as I am presently converting each line manually. Thanks in advance.
