My longhair dachshund, Rudy, is obsessed with staring at the walls.  Every now and then he'll jump up to bite the wall.  We thought he was looking for shadows, but we don't see any.  Is this normal?  I have 3 other dogs who don't do this and ignore Rudy when he's involved in this behavior.
Thank you.

This is a behavior quite like 'Fly catching' in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, where they snap at an invisible 'fly' in the air. Try Clomicalm.
