ihave 1990 new yorker fifth ave -car shut down ,blinker slow, lights dimmed,chk engine light came on. replaced battery on susp. I took it to mech. he said computer is bad along w/ alternator ; i think the alternator is definatly bad. i started car and took neg off my battery , car stopped . what do you think?
