When I am using ssh from a windows machine, my connection stays up reliably, as long as I do not let it become inactive (i.e. not type in any commands for maybe 20 minutes).  If I leave it alone for longer than that, my shell window stops responding, and the IP tunnels associated with my SSH session are lost also.  I have tried tweaking the timeout parameters offered by 'putty' with no success.  Can anyone tell me how to get around this problem?
