I need help with VW lights???

I have VW Golf 1994 1.4. My Right hand indicator stays on continuously, my left side indicator works fine and my rear rear lights do not come on. I thought it was the flash unit but it's not. It looks more like an "earthing" problem as I have been told by the hlafords expert. Anyone know what I should be looking for and where? I've opened up the fuse box and checked all connections and they are fine. Please HELP??/
