Have a 99 dodge van 1500 Conversion Van with 3.9 6 cylinder and it has a constant whirring and thumping sound. I replaced tires thinking it was a bad set of tires but the sound is still there.

The noise appears to nearly go away when you let off the gas and returns when the pedal is pressed. It sounded like a tire with bad belts, but with new tires I know that isn not the problem...

Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

Thanks,
Blnmakerr
