I have a 1997 VW Transporter TDI 2.5litre diesel. The problem is the following :

After start-up and often after just a few kilometers the engine just stops/cuts out.It starts again almost immediately, once the orange diesel warm-up start light comes on again (this can vary from 2/3 seconds to over a minute) Typically this happens a least twice and sometimes three times. If it doesn't happen soon after start-up it can just happen like that after any length of time. Some days it doesn't happen at all, though its becoming more frequent.I took it to a electrical automotive garage, not being able to find anything and as a  precaution they changed the key contact.
Does anyone have any ideas!
Thanks
