I'm using ANN spesifically LVQ for pattern recognition focusing in control chart data. I've created a program using Visual C++ for the LVQ network. There are data set used in the program :(1) training data set (2)validation data set (3) test set.
I used the same data set for training and validation. Those data sets are generated from the program.From this LVQ network the training accuracy, validation accuracy and test accuracy were calculated using :
(the number of correct class) / (number of patterns evaluated) in percentage.
From my understanding, the training accuracy and validation accuracy should be the same because I'm using the same data set.Unfortunately, I did not get the same accuracy for training and validation. I've put a lot of effort to solve this problems, but it does not work.

So, I really hope somebody out there can help me, please.
