I am very new to vxWorks.  When I write code to create a file, the file does not show up in my directory.  Here is the code:

#include <iostream.h>
#include <fstream.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
main()
{
   ifstream fp("example.txt");
   if ( fp.is_open() )
   {
      fp << "Line 1 \n";
      fp.close();
   }
   return 0;
}

This code works and is valid. My problem is that the file does not appear anywhere on the system.  I have writable writes to my file that I am trying to put this file in.
