After you get your belly botton pierced how long should you wait to start swimming and stuff like that?

Well i got my belly botton pierced a month and a half ago and i started swimming the 2 week. but only in a pool not like the dirty water of like the river and the lake and all that.

I am thinking abou geting my belly botton pierced and I was wondering how long will the pain will last, can I sit down or willit hurt and what will it feal like after it has been in for a year or will I even feel it at all?

You should wait a least a week or two before you start to swim, I acually help mine.

You can swim when ever...the water will actually clean the belly botton

you can go swimming at any time after you get it done even if its the day after. just make sure that you clean it before and after swimming. Don't go in the hot tub untill your peircing heals for it contains chemicals that WILL irritate the peircing

YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT, JUST MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN YOU BELLY BOTTON AND THE RING AFTER

You honestly need to wait at least 4 months to go swimming, but you should be able to change the barbell within a month!! I got my pierced January 1st, and i'mbeing sent to boot camp in may, but my piercer said that i should be able to get in a pool or beach by then as long as i clean it!!

wen u get ur belly done that night dont go in the bath clean ur belly botton wiv hot salty water u should not go swimming for at least 2-4 weeks give it time to get it heal after that it would be good 4 u to go swimmin as the cloren will help it clean

you should wait about 6-8 weeks befor you go swimming..best to get it done befor summer holidays.

Belly button rings usually don't heal for up to 6 months to a year. If you swim in a pool it should be fine if it has chlorine in the water. If you swim in a lake put a water-proof band-aid over it.

Swimming is actually good for you bellybotton after you get it pierced.

Hey, i REALLY want 2 get my belly botton pierced... and my parents have said yes and everything but i start swimming at school in about 2 weekz... is that long enough for it 2 be held enough for me to go swimming?
