What do you think of your Husky? Just post the things that you like and dislike about your husky. Then, people who are thinking about getting a husky can look here and see the good and the bad. Plus, it's always fun to see what ya'llthink about them. Have fun!

Husky are really goof dogs. they are great with kids and love alot of people. These dogs are really good with new people coming in the house. Female huskies tend to like only one male in the family unless raised with more than one. Huskies don't make very good gaurd dogs, do to their social nature. If you are planning on buying a husky but you do not wont a hyper dog a husky isn't the right dog for you. If you don't have a big yard a husky isn't right for you and if you are a very lazy person and don't want to walk your dog a husky isn't the right dog for you.

Tucker (male, 3 years old) is the light of my life.  He is unbelievably entertaining.  I know Huskies are not known to be loyal but I really believe that he is.  He and my kids adore each other.  What I don't particularly enjoy is the digging and the counter-cruising (I cannot leave anything out on the counter, even for a moment).

Pearl (female-8 months) has only been with us a week and already feels like she's been with us forever.  I rescued her from someone who kept her in a kennel for months at a time so she is being a bear to house train, but we are making progress.  She is my first female and so I was unprepared for the heat cycle which started yesterday....

Huskies really are as smart as they are purported to be.  Tucker only needs to hear certain words to do as he is told, I say bed and off he trots to his bed and lays down (he listens better than the kids).  Their antics and inquisitive nature will keep you on your toes.  They have taught me to be a better housekeeper, I've learned to put things back when I'm done with them otherwise they will decide to "read my book" as well and then maybe eat the cardboard and scatter the rest in the yard.
Huskies learn so quickly but can be very stubborn.  You will never be bored with a Husky.  another benefit is that you can get rid of that never used gym membership: with the amount of exercise they need the pounds will melt away; well that and the food they'll be stealing off your plate.

What i love about my siberian husky (who is 15weeks) is that when ever i run away from her when shes laying down then she gets up and runs after me.  I don't like it how they whine all the time..but after a while i got use to it.  I hope you'll like your dog if your to get one!

I love my husky!  I saved her from a family who was giving her up due to a new addition to the family.  I don't know why anyone would want to give her up.. She's the best dog.  Very loyal, follows me everwhere.  She lives with a cat and plays well with dogs much smaller than herself.  Be prepared for HAIR GALORE!!  People are not joking when they say this dog sheds!!  I have atleast 2 lint rollers in every room and 2 in my car.  She loves to go for rides.  She got out on thanksgiving and after tracking her for 3 miles my sister found me with my car and Mishka jumped right in.  I was lucky to get her back.  We're living in a house without a fenced in yard right now and she's having a tough time with it.  She can't wait to get back to a fenced in yard.  I wouldn't recommend keeping a husky on a tie out all day.  they need to run and exercise or you will have ALOT of behavior problems..

I LOVE MINE. HE IS A WONDERFUL PUP. I CANT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THEM. THE ONLY CONS YOU MAY FIND IS THAT THEY LOVE TO DIG, AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD DOGS TO HAVE IF YOU HAVE PET RABBITS OR HAMSTERS AND BIRDS, BECAUSE YOU WILL SURELY SIGN THEIR DEATH WARRANT. HOWEVER, SIBES ARE GREAT DOGS AND ARE MUCH LIKE SMALL CHILDREN IN MANY WAYS. THEY OFFER ENDLESS ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOU AS THEY DO SOME OF THE FUNNIEST THINGS. ONE THING I LIKE TO DO IS WHINE AND HOWL. MY SIBE PUPPY IS ONLY 9 WEEKS OLD AND WHEN I DO THAT, IT GETS HIM GOING. HE WILL CLIMB ON MY CHEST AND START HOWLING AND WOO WOO-ING. IT IS THE FUNNIEST THING. THEY ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY REQUIRE ALOT OF YOUR TIME RAISING THEM, BUT ITS WELL WORTH IT. I WOULDNT TRADE MY SIBE FOR ANYTHING. ALL THE DOGS IVE HAD IN LIFE, THE ONLY TWO DOGS THAT IVE TRULY BEEN ATTACHED TO WERE MY SIBERIAN HUSKIES.

Our four month old husky, Indyana is a maniac!!!
~ He barks and howls when he wants attention (usually while I am on the phone).
~ He plays 'Grab item X  (that is a no-no) and RUN around the living room/house'.
~ He eats leaves and every piece of mulch while out for a walk.
~ He wakes us up in the middle of the night wanting to play and he jumps into the shower with us.
(these have been this morning's occurrences)

My husband and I wouldn't trade him for anything! Indy is a training challenge, and a handful, but also the funniest member of our family.

My boyfriend and I have a 6 month old Siberian Husky and she is a sweetheart. She does get into things occationally as do most puppies.  We have two other large dogs as well that she loves to play with and keeps her occupied. They are not high maintanance but like most large breeds needs to go hiking, running, to the dog beach or park at least 2 times a weak and should be walked almost everyday.  If you dont have the time or energy for a large bread then don't get one!
