My 4 1/2 month old shih tzu puppy Daisy sleeps a lot during the day....is it normal for her too sleep so much? and she seems to be able to hold it when she has to pee when she is sleeping during the day, yet at night when she is sleeping in her crate she wakes up whining to go out every 2 hours....how do i get her to sleep through the night and hold it like she does for hours during the day?

ok she seems a little backwards no she should not sleep all day. is she wormed sometimes that cause them to sleep all day i would play with here to keep her busy and as for night time i would leave her out for a couple of hours be for bed time and also take her water and food dish off of her around 6:oopm so she dont have to go durning the night

I don't have an answer, but also have a shih-tzu/maltese mix puppy (2 mo.) who sleeps a lot during the day and evening and is up by 2am ready to play and very alert.  Hoping someone has an idea on how to switch his sleeping habits?
