I don't have an good answer I'm reading and searching for more definitive signs myself.
We have a very pregnant rotty, she is still running and playing with her mate, but getting moody, the interest in food is slowing, she is even more affectionate to all of the family (humans) as well as her mate rotty,  the panting, the groans and grunts though infrequent are starting, I guess like in humans the babies will decide when they want to come out.  We have given her a whole guest room to nest in but she seems content to just cuddle up on her blankets for now. Only time will tell.
