Have you heard of a disease called lymphantasia...a friend just lost her Yorkie, 4 1/2 years old to this diagnosis. Can't find any info though vet and UC Davis said it's a common Yorkie disease?

My dog was diagnosed with it he was a rotte and only 7 :( Its an awful disease that slowly kills due to the animal not getting any protein from its food. The only hope that we found was plasma but that only would help for about 3 weeks at a cost of $750 We also had my dog on a pretty high dose of oral steroids and all we did was prolong the inevitable and make my boy suffer longer. As soon as the vet tried reducing the steroids my baby promptly died. All you can do is wait till you get to meet again at the rainbow bridge. If you don't know what I am talking about do a search on "Rainbow bridge" I wish you and your friend the best.
