My shih tzu is terrified of thunderstorms.  Anytime is storms he hides and shakes under the bed.  He will refuse to go out for hours after a storm.  Well last week we had about four really bad storms and now he won't go out at all except to do his thing.  Usually we take lots of walks and spend at least 30 minutes outside about 3-4 times a day. Now I am lucky if I can get him to be out 5 minutes.  All he does is run to the steps or pull on his leash to go back in.  I am not positive it is the storms but don't know of anything else.  Help.
