What do you do when your nose piercing gets infected? Do you leave your nose ring in?

DO NOT TAKE YOUR NOSE RING OUT!!!!! This will seal up the infection and take the infection to the brain. You should go to your original piercer, and have them look at it. They will tell you what to do from there depending on how bad the infection is.

well i would leave it in and go to the place you got it pierced at.  don't immediatly go to a doctor unless ur nose is like green because they honestly don't know very much about piercings......what you need to be careful of is your nose getting too swollen and the stud being immbedded.  if you have a ring in though its not that bad.  just keep it clean and call ur piercer.....good luck!!!!!

leave it in, by all means. otherwise the infection has nowhere to go.  buy a solution such as Bactine and clean the area with a Q-tip soaked in the solution three times a day until it clears up.  always wash your hands first and don't touch the piercing other than when you're cleaning it.  it only aggravates the problem.  i'vehad many little infections with mine b/c i can't seem to stop playign with it and this always helps.

leave your nose ring in!  if you take it out, the infection can get trapped in there, and spread!

salt water solution 1tbs spoon to 8 oz water rinse the piercing throughly until out of the solution, or use a straw and create suction so that it holds the salt solution and then pour it on your nose ring. Use a q-tip to get into the nose, make sure to cover inner and outer areas. It works, I tried it myself : )

You should leave the jewelry in and see a DR. If you take it out now then the outer skin will likely just close around the infected area, trapping in the puss and creating an abscess that will eventually need to be lanced and treated with oral antibiotics. NOT  un.
