I have just moved into a new house which has been wired for telephones in several rooms. There is a BT linebox in the hall which works. I was told that I would have to connect up the extensions myself. I wired up the extension sockets accordingly with the coloured wires with rings, but there was no dial tone. I assumed that they had to be connected at the linebox as well. However the only spare cable left in the linebox has a red a blue and two white wires. Which wires should be connected to which number slot in the linebox. (I couldn't find any wires with rings on them) Any help is appreciated.
