use the ShellExecute system call in windows in vc++ or vb

Hi, I'm actually wondering the same thing. However, I may be able to help a little bit (if you're using VB 6 or higher). I just know that with the "Shell" code you can open .exe's that are located in the system root (such as command prompt type things). For example the line of code:

Shell ("Regedit.exe")

would open Regedit which is located in C:\WINDOWS directory. I hope that helps a little bit.

Select oiopen with from the windows and choose VB or Vc++ from the window

use the
ShellExecute Me.hwnd, "open", "C:\WINDOWS\application name.exe", vbNullString, vbNullString, vbNormalNoFocus
in a single line in your VB code
