Pairing-up testers together and perform test case reviews is known as Buddy testing. (ie. one tester reviews test cases written by another tester in the group). This method is also used in XP (eXtreme Programming)

Suppose developer fix any defect, then he gives his patch to his colleague ( another developer called buddy) to verify his fix is working fine or not against the defect. So buddy 's task is to reproduce that defect.
