When I put my firewall on I cannot receive attachments to emails.  How do I enable transfer of files with the firewall on,is this possible?

it's not your firewall - the options tab in outlook express has the heuristics set to delete ANY attachment - there is a tab with a tick, you need to untick it.

Well, It sound like you are going to have to disable your firewall software to receive your emails. This might sound silly, because it is. Thats the way the things work.

you can try to go to your Fire wall window in control panel and go to your exceptions which is location on the top of the window. it is a little tap labled exceptions. hit the bottom icon that says add program and make sure your email program is in the exceptions list. then go to the advanced and then find you internet conection in the box and then go to settings which is the tab next to it. then look for attachments. i hope this helps.

Please enable the file extensions that you want to receive or send through mails.That you can do by setting the firewall policy properly

Zip the file(s) you would like to attach with the email and then transfer .This would transfer the mail with attachment even there is fire wall.

yes it is possible. go into your firewall's email configuration and look for something about attachments.

It really depends on what kind or brand of firewall you have, if I knew that info I might be able to help you.

Use Kerio firewall it asks you what do want let through and what to block plus its FREE and AWESOME
