Can you really go deaf if the piercer hits the nerves in you tragus?

I dont know i have been thinking about getting it pierced for while now but my mom said it could hit a nerve and make that side of your face all droop down!!!!??

No.
The only way you could go deaf would be if you had a REALLY severe infection that was left untreated for a VERY long time and then the infection travelled in towards your ear drum.
Also, any good piercer should know where all the major nerves are so they don't get hit.
This hardly every happens. Just look after it.

the nerve that controls hearing, the 8th cranial nerve, is inside your head. unless someone pierces through your head and neck you will be ok.

i dont know actully iv heard that it can but i doubt it most people said it dosnt
