I have a 2000 chrysler sebring convertible that died the other day while being driven. The check engine light had been on and they said when I had it checked while it was still running that the #2 cylinder was missing. Now it won't start and fuel is getting to the cylinders so its not the fuel pump. I'm at a loss to what it might be.

Did you buy this car new or used...If you bought it new I suggest you take it back.. possibly a manufacturer problem..if it is used...then you probably got a  lemon..the fact that the second cylinder is missing..is pretty bad news..you have to go and pull the engine..usually..and then re-buff the cylinders..and flush the gas or clean them out..and tidous process...probly will cost you a bit

Pull the engine for a miss?  I don't think so.
Similar type of problem here, it was costly but not an engine pull.  The code gave me intermittent miss.  Dealers changed all these parts, computer, and most every electronic item there was.  What it was.. The alternator was skiking the computer.
I would go about it by doing a typical tuneup, change the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and see if that resolves it.  No way pull the motor for a simple miss.
