I have compressed and password-protected files using Black Hole compression.  Is there any way to recover the password?

Yes, it is indeed possible. All you have to do is to enter your root directory and bring up the track-command. Use it to trace your files, by using the command "eb2.find **filename**". When your files appear, drag them into the Open-Source document and press "Password 2".
You will now be free to change the password.
