We just adopted a 1.5 yr old half Siberian Husky and half Rottweiler female. In the three months we have had her, I have noticed two occasions where I think she may have had a very mild seizure: she stops movement, freezes, then head bobs for 30-60 seconds with glazed over expression. Afterwards, she goes right back to doing whatever she was in the middle of doing. Is this possibly epilepsy? Or neurological? We were not given any med. info. on her by the Animal shelter. Thanks

This is probably a focal seizure. These can be caused by low thyroid (have a 6 panel thyroid test done) and also by low blood sugar. Try feeding your girl small meals more often, and make sure she doesn't overexert herself when exercising. After a focal seizure, give her a small spoonful of all-natural vanilla ice cream, then follow up with a small portion of her regular food.
