Why does the bully kutta have so many variations? Some look exactly like dogos while others look like other breeds.

For the same reasons Pit Bulls have so many variations. Different Bloodlines all have slight variations, and back yard breeders don't help any by breeding inferior dogs for profit.  Also breeders have specific attributes that they like and will breed for this specific type weather its because they want a better fighter or as simple as they want a prettier dog. You can Find these variations in almost any breed but it is usually a work vs. show issue.

I have also come to understand that like the slang term Pitt Bull(not American Pit Bull Terrier) the Bully Kutha is more of a group of dogs instead of a single breed. Which means there will be a huge amount of variations in these dogs. Like if you looked at half the dogs people refer to as Pitt Bulls you would see a basic ,trend boxy well muscled dogs, but on further inspection you would find most as Bully mixes or other bully breeds, like the American Bull Dog or a Staffordshire terrier or even a Boxer.

dont believe everything yu read on the net!..its not a group of dogs. the bully dog is always recognizeable. sure , some are bigger and some are smaller , but theyre the same thing!..just like pitbulls!...all bully crosses have different names. gul dongs , bully bull terriers etc . the bully may also have different types , like heavy set and lean and mean , but theyre not a group of dogs. thats like saying the APBT is a group of dogs. cuz they too , have a lot of variety.

Khan, I agree with you that they are recognizable and I not saying that there mutts or anything I was just pointing out that they breed has several different types. And yes APBT's also has a lot of variety as I said before, but there are a lot of dogs refered to as Pitt Bulls that aren't APBT's just like there are dogs that people call Bully Kutta's that aren't.

if yu could find a good example , it would cost around 2 to 700 dollars. depends on the seller. in pakistan , theyre called kohati bull terriers. yu'd have to go to kohat to find the purest examples. they make great pets. are very loyal to the family. and could kill a stranger.

Is the kohati bull terrier better than the english bull terrier

Answer by khan
Submitted on 7/9/2004
Rating:  Rate this answer: Vote
nothing is better than the best english bull terriers. but kohatis are also great dogs. i've never seen em fight each other. i've seen kohatis fight bully dogs and mixes. i "know" a pure kohati could give one hell of a match to a bull terrier or pitbull. but i've never seen such a fight , so i cant say which dog would win. kohatis are a legend in the fromtier province , like pits are in the US. and rightfully so. but again , EBTs are the toughest critters i've ever had the experience of owning. kohatis are very strong and very mean. with lots of holding power. like a good pit. but i think EBTs might just be a lil tougher. and sometimes i think good kohatis are better than most pits. and probably lots of EBTs , but i cant say what would happen if great examples of these breeds were pitted against each other.

Why is kohati bull terrier different than the English bull terriers?
My father owned a kohati bull terrier when he was a teenager in Pakistan,
His kohati bull terrier was special breed I think because it had a pink nose and pink lips and a realy big head and body, most kohati bull terrier have black nose and black lips. My father’s kohati bull terrier must be a special breed because it’s not an average kohati bull terrier. My father Said there is only a few of these special breeds left and they’re hard to find, so do you know anything about the special kohati bull terrier breed my father had?

yes , i've owned them.....they are descendents of the original all white EBTs...they lack pigment....it is actually a flaw and considered dangerous to the breed...but because their blood came straight from the original hinks dogs , they were great fighters...true , they are rare these days....very hard to find .

is the kohati bull terrier the old type English bull terrier dating back in the year 1896 or something like that?

okay , here i go again. just for you ;)
the old type pink nosed , pink lipped , all white kohati was the direct descendent of the old type hinks EBT. it was NOT an EBT. it was a cross between an EBT and the best all white local bully dogs. the smaller variety that is. thats where the dog got its bigger frame from. but the lack of pigment leads to many health related problems and even infertility. leading to the overall demise of the breed. thats y colr had to be introduced  , both to the EBT and eventually the kohati. the EBT was re-crossed with pure staffs for color. the kohatis were crossed with other local bully bull terrier crosses. thats where the black nosed kohatis come from. but as is obvious from what i just told yu , the EBT is still a pure breed , re-crossed with only the best.

when you said (pit/kohati) did you mean that you have a pitbull cross kohati?

and i want to ask you is a pure bull kutta any good for fighting?

I really like the bully kutta but i have never seen one properly fed with good food
because in the USA and UK we have dog foods like (pedigree chum)    which has vitamins and mineral's and protein, and the UK and USA dog foods make the dogs really strong and muscular. but in Pakistan they don't have the good dog food to make the bully kuttas and kohati bull terriers muscular.

so is your dogs muscular and strong in Pakistan?

the reason i ask this its because you know best about these dog breeds and you might know how to feed these dogs properly in Pakistan.

lol.....the stuff ppl feed their dogs in pakistan is much better than the dogfood in the west....cuz its all "real" food here....like i feed my dogs pure meat with veges and yoghurt etc etc. no canned , preserved crap...so yes , some dogs are very well raised in pakistan...and are very muscular....muscularity primarily depends on the exercise regimen of a dog...and ofcourse , diet also matters. the reason some dogs may lack over here , is due to the fact that most ppl are poor and cant afford the best foods for their dogs....but pure and natural is a hundred times better than any canned brand. and yes  , my dog is a kohati pit cross. and bullys are great at fighting each other and other large dogs...the lighter , smaller varieties can even take on bull terrier types. but i personally prefer bull terrier crosses . because at the end of the day , bully dogs , filas , presas and tosas are just mastiffs and not true fighting dogs. they may be used to fight , but are not the best for the job. they were'nt "designed" keeping fighting in mind. bull and terrier dogs are the best fighters. and thats the bottom line. and yes , my dogs are in perfect condition.

Wow i didnt know that the food there is better for the dogs, I'm very pleased to know that.
so would you say that the bully kutta is more of a guard dog instead of a fighter?

does a bully kutta have a grate Dane in it?
and is your pit bull cross kohati a good mix? and is it better than the pure APBT?

what do you think about pit bull crossed with a bully kutta?

where r u from btw?..i'm guessing yur pakistani...where are yu living currently?...bully dogs are great guards...and can fight well with their own kind....but are not "true" fighters. no , it has no great dane in it. its a good mix , yes. is it better??...we'll have to wait and see...lol...all pitbulls are crosses themselves...so that just makes my dog a pitbull with a lil more bull terrier in it. pit crossed with bully dog would thrown bully bull terrier type dogs....great fighters actually. i think it would work well

khan ive read ur views on the ebt and pakistani bull terrier, and in my experience the kohati has much more proven deep game compared to todays ebt which has not been bred for the purpose of dogfighting and bearbaiting,if you go to kohat majority of these dogs are bred for these purposes only something the ebt used to be many generations ago but very rare qualities in todays ebt.I have also seen a kohati and apt roll in pakistan more then once and according to the rules in pakistan the kohati won because the first dog to turn looses vids available

by the way, I live and work in Pakistan too... Feed my dog Purina Dog Chum mixed with fresh meat (cooked with veggies etc) and boiled rice.
My APBT loves the occasional treat of chewies which he takes a few minutes to tear up, yes, even the toughest nylabone!
He is not a natural guard of property, so is quite tolerant with strangers, even friendly! but when it comes to personal protection, I haven't seen anything like him.
I've had Rotties, GSDs, Dobermans and a Boxer in the past, but none stood up and fought for me the way this one does. He'll stand in between me and the supposed, impending danger and just won't budge. He doesn't believe in dramatizing the situation by barking or showing signs of aggression, he believes in "just doing it" when the need arises...
Keep a well-trained, well-socialized APBT from parents of healthy stock (mental health too!) and you will enjoy the best of the best!!!
Adieu.

English bull terriers are no longer true fighting dogs as they used to be. They do not itch to fight as pitbulls do. They are good in their league, as they can beat staffs, bulldogs, etc, but no dog is a match for the game tested apbt pound for pound. I have seen such a fight once, in which a 10 month old pitbull (Montana bloodline) was tested against a bull terrier. The bullterrier screamed 10 mins into the roll, and the fight was forfeited.
However, it’s a slightly different case with Pakistani ebts, as they have been bred from original fighting stock, and therefore still retain this ability. The pakistani old type ebt I have never seen fight, so cant comment on, although in a journal I read, they were said to be very fierce.

This is now officially the last figt my borzoi shall have this fight lasted 45minutes and was the worst fight ive ever witnessed there were 6 more fights scheduled after this one but they were cancelled it was beyond grousem the power that a Bully Kutta contains is greater then APBT / Tosa teamed up. And although my Borzoi is stronger and it won it was to horrible for words to describe.

mr khan,i'mvery happy to see a knowledgable person.i'ma fan of the great breeds of the sub-continent.i.e bully kutha, caravanhounds, sage koochee, gawii, etc.
my question(request for an answer) to you is that, which is the toughest breed? is it a gull dong? but what i was told was that 2 bully kuthas can easily tear down a lion or a tiger and gull terr apbt or ebt can't do that. which one of these are the toughest?
and are mastiff like bully kutha(so called indian mastiff or sindh mastiff) stronger than bully kuthas? what i read in moloss.com was that sindh mastiffs r known to excell bully kuthas as guards! and can it be concluded that dogs of the sub-continent are the toughest? and does the mighty sage koochee , tsang-kyi,bhutia,bhotia or any of these dogs appear in fighting ring?
what i was told is gull dong is the most powerful and toughest breed in the world.

khan i dont know how you can say the bully dogs are not "true" fighters.Mate ive had 3 of the beasts an yeh they are beasts alrite. the 1st 1 i had killed a pit bull while he was chained up an the pit was loose. If you wana dog for fighting you cant beat the bully.

why so many questions about if this dog is good for fighting? fighting should be illegal and you sound like your trying to just mask what your really looking for, which would be another innocent animal to go and train to be abusive and kill and hurt other animals. this is why this loving line of dogs gets such horrible treatment in public. they are banning them all over the USA because of irresponsible people and back yard breeders who are ruining the population and ruining blood lines. its so sad to see such a loyal group of dogs be so discriminated against.

I looked at a lot of your answera and you are all wrong.  The only way there could be any variation of breed type is if there is no established breed standard for the bully kutta.
