hi,
It would be cool if you could, but if you are a Christian, any sort of magic is kinda not allowed, it comes from "Satan"! if you practice Wicca and aren't a Christian then you would have to ask someone who practices Wicca.
Also is you are a Christian God is the only God and Mary is a Saint.

just thought you might like to know!!!

It is against christianity to do magic and you certainly can't repent after you do it because god knows you inside out. There is an exception though.According to my relentless research what the mean by magic(in the Qu'ran Torah, and bible,is making illusions. If what your doing is real than its alright.

You cannot be a Christian and a wiccan. The Christians God is a God of light but the god of the wiccans is satan and is a god of darkness. He is evil while God is pure and holy. You can't serve two god's at once.

You are crazy.......  Wiccans do not believe in the devil.  Satan doesnt exist to us.  So how can it be of Satan when we dont believe in him?  Thank you very much.  Wiccan'sknew that Jesus existed and we also know that God is real.  We choose to believe in god and goddess for spiritual enlightment and for out own meditation and piece of mind.  If we were always so worried about what Christians say then why would we ask the question anyway?  Christians which are true Christians know that God is a loving God and do not judge other's and that if you choose to live your life one way then you do it and they pray for you none the less.  God is a forgiving God and if you feel the need to be Wiccan and serve Christ then go ahead and do so.

I don't believe that the God of the Wiccans is "Satan". If that were true then all the magic would be dark, evil, and black.  Not all magic is black.  But really, I don't believe that magic has a color it is the witch that makes it black or white.  As for being a christian and a wiccan both. I guess that is up to the person themselves, afterall no one can tell you who or what to believe in.  Just go with how you feel.

if you are Christian(like me) but want to be wiccan (like me) then you can!!!!!!!!!!!!
just do what i do, always work with the bible by your side! and after you make a spell, pray to god for forgiveness! show him that you are faithful, but that you also want to do spells and magic! ( and if you don't like the idea of praising satin, then just praise another god! like god or gaea(Greek) it is pretty easy!)

This is awesome!!!  You people are a bunch of idiots.  "Can you be Wiccan and Christian at the same time?" anyone who ask this question obviously doesn't know what Wicca is... and as for you Christians, Wiccans (real Wiccans) probably wouldn't appreciate you calling their God evil.  Maybe your God is evil, just look at Israel.  I think it's funny that all you people go around practicing all these great religions without ever even understanding them.

Well, I've always thought about his but it may be possible. You see Wicca is a kind magic and does not serve satan. i am chritain and have found that christianty is is hundreds of years younger then witchcraft. And satan is a part of being catholic. He is our belief. Just cause another religon does not have the excact same belifs as our does not mean they serve Satan. There aren't any traces of him is wicca. Satan is Evil, and takes all form of evil, so if in the heart of the beholder you wish to do others and urself good by asking mother nature, i'mpretty sure God wouldn't mind. Evil is also in the heart of the beholder. always choose to love insteadof hate, and you will be fine.

i totally think you can. Excuse what jonnie says. I dont mean to protrude into what hes saying, but wicca has nothing to do with satan. As a matter of fact..they dont believe in satan. Wiccan and christianity both share some aspects, and also debate on soemthings. But, i believe that you can, as long as you dont sway one way too much...cos christianity says that magick is evil, but then wicca says that there isnt just one god...so you have to find your beliefs yourself.

Yes! Absolutely you can do magic and do it through God. You ask him to guide you and to do His Will.  He can Protect and defend you Better than any small diety could.
You can call upon the Arc angels for your four corners. And as long as you have faith in Him and You are using magic for Good or protection - - then you have the makings to be a Very powerful magician Indeed!
Choosing to put your faith into a diety as opposed would cause you to Blaspheme God really. and isnt that the One True unforgivable sin??
Follow your heart.
Blessed Be.

It doesn't matter what name you call the Divine!! You can call it the Easter Bunny for all anyone cares. Christians call the Divine: God or Jesus (depends on who you ask), Jews call the Divine: G-d (as they recognize that the Divine is neither male nor female). Buddhists call the Divine: Buddha. Wiccans call the Divine: the All, or by a host of other names like Lord and Lady.. yet recognizing that neither of them are seperate from the other (in otherwords, similar to Judaism in that respect).

HOWEVER, You can NOT practice Wicca and go around calling yourself Christain. That's like a bologna sandwich calling itself peanut butter and jelly. There are some aspects of each religion that just do not see eye to eye.

You can worship the Christain god because the Divine is the same for everyone, just a different name. Like blue jeans (crude analogy, I know). There are different brands, and they all fit a little different.. but deep down, they are all the same. You wear what appeals to you. Understand, rubberband?

Oh, and for the person who thinks the god of the Wiccans is Satan.. We're not anti-Christian the way you seem to be anti-education. Wiccans are not anti-Christian. Wiccans hold no faith in Satan, or any other adversary of another's chosen faith. Your comment is vile and full of ignorance. Go to college... a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

This is rediculous! Ok people listen! Wicca is not of Satan! we don't even believe in the devil! everything out of Wicca is posative and what we do is are spiritually in tune with nature and it's power and magic. We are good people and do nothing to harm others. If you want to use "christian God" to praise then go ahead, "God" is "god" and it's your God. practice what you believe in. MAKE YOUR OWN RELIGION!

You can NOT be a Christian and a Wiccan.  It is against the belief that God is the one true God. If you put God as the God of Wicca, that would kind of turn the beliefs of christians into something it is not. Mary is in no way a goddess. She just happened to be chosen to give birth to Jesus. If you are a Christian, I would strongly advise you to go talk to a minister to get biblical back up on why this would not be a good idea.  If you do the magic knowing that it is a sin, do you think God should forgive you? He knows your heart and your intentions, don't be a fool!

Wicca is NOT Satanism, it's the rejection of religious doctrines written by man and the freedom to find your own spiritual path. Wiccans believe that every living being has divinity within and that we should use our inner abilities for good and not evil. I just converted to Wicca today after reading a webpage about Wicca. Let's think, if the Christian God loved every one of his children would he have burned whole cities to the ground while women, children, and the elderly were still inside or killed off every firstborn in Egypt? Just some food for thought.

A text:
37"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matt 10)

As a tip, when forming your own beliefs about Christianity it is best to use the Christian bible as the finial authority and not modern philosophies that tend to reduce religious belief to that of a personal preference.

As I see it, no you cannot. Magic is "evil" and from "Satan" or at least that is what they say... and if you ask for forgiveness after every spell then it would just be like. "I am saying sorry but really I am not and I am going to do it again in five seconds. HA!"

Can you become Wiccan but use the Christian God as the God of Wicca and Mary as the Goddess?

In my experiences you could call yourself a Pagan Christian. Wicca is one of the  religious side of Paganism. If you truly believe in the Christian God. You would not dedicate/in yourself to the Wicca beliefs but you could use some of the ideals from it. If you needed to  feel more connected to the Wicca side. Then I would use the term A Pagan Christian or Christian Pagan. This way ppl would know your believes are in the Christian faith with a hint of pagan ideals.

In the Wicca belief system you can use any type of image that helps you connect with your higher self/god(s). So a picture of Jesus and Mary could be used on your alter. Just remember Wicca has a very strong connection with nature. So most of the     god(dess) ideals are based around the idea of nature.

The bible is merely a book written by men. It is a guide book. As everyone knows mankind is not prefect. I am sure there are mistakes in the bible. As far as magick being against the bible. If you stick with the Wiccan rede "An it harm none, do what you will." I personally couldnt see the harm. A prayer to Jesus or Mary is like magick. You are sending out your energies. It is similar to lighting a candle and meditating.

Most Pagan/Wiccans believe there is no one path to the supreme deity. Do not ever let anyone discourage you on your journey. Follow your heart and soul.

I think that you can if you are using him as your god. Because for all you jerks out there who think witches worship satan, you're wrong. Even though i don't believe in him personally, you can use him in magick for he has supernatural powers, and spells are nothing but prayers. So all of you assholes out there who think we are satanists you go to hell, and you won't see a witch there.

Sometimes the Horned god is confused with an evil god like satan but he just represents the male characteristics in the belief in wicca.. hard to explain just look it up...

for example the summer sulstis is actualy our celebration of christs birth from the virgin the only difference is we don't give present( we do that on christmas to show christmas as a time for givving not reciving) and we actully celebrate the 21st. and our rule is that if it will hurt anyone or anything u arn'tallowed to do it

For those of you who think Wicca is Satan-based...do a little research on Wicca and you'll find that our god is not Satan (Satan is a Christian concept, not a pagan one).

We worship a The God and Goddess (the god represented by the sun and the goddess represented by the moon).

I know many Christians who are gay and some that use drugs lie and cheat. Thank God For giving us Jesus who died for are sins. Does any one Remember? I do beleive that the bible said, There is only one sin that can not be forgiven and that is to take your own life. Yes, you can be both.  Christianity is based of forgiveness and tolerance.  I come from a liberal, Protestant family.  First of all, the Wiccan beliefs are VERY similar to those of Native Americans (from which I descend).  The Native Americans were and are not Pagan.  Again, tolerance and understanding are key.  It all boils down to believing in a higher power, a creator which both believe in in some way, shape or form. Open your mind and learn.  As long as you are not doing evil to harm others, you shall not be damned.  Besides, I know at least on Wiccan who is into charity and is one of the most loving women I have already met.  And, I might add, I am madly in love with her and my family loves her!

I think that you can become a Wiccan and a Christian. Most people say that doing magick is bad, and is Satan, but that's not true. At least, that's what I think. In the Wiccan Rede, it says something like this; don't do things you don't want to be done onto you, or something like that. If Wiccans violate the Wiccan Rede in anyway, it'll come back to you. What goes around comes around! It's just like what the bible says, do onto others as you would like to be done on you!

Yes, you can worship the Christian God while still being Wiccan.  You wouldn't necessarily be Christian, but He would become your God while you search for the Goddess, if you even find her.  Some do not, and only encounter God.  The God in Wicca and the Christian God are one and the same, the Wiccan God isn't some demon or dark god.  If you really truly want to further your spirituality, you should find real Wiccans, and not ask people on a website who know even less than you do.  Most of those that answer here are completely ignorant of other religions but thier own.  But yes, God will be your Wiccan God.

Wicca and satanism are not the same thing! There are many different types of Wiccans, and the whole religion is based on "An it harm not do what thou wilt". So you are free as long as your actions don't harm anyone. However, it seems you are stuck between two religions, and are clearly confused. To be a Wiccan you must be absolutely sure it is the path you want to take. Talk to other Wiccans and research for yourself.

I reccomend looking at these websites:  http://www.wicca.com/celtic/wicca/christian.htm
http://www.religioustolerance.org/witchcr5.htm
They both talk about Wicca and Christianity.  The first is a Christian asking others to be tolerant of Wiccans and the second says that some Wiccans do indeed worship God and Mary as the God and Goddess.  And of course, Wiccans do NOT worship Satan.  Jonnie is misinformed.

yes actually you can because the majority of work you do is actually self-improvement.  so if you take wiccan principals but instead of worshiping their gods worship your own. its sort of like meditating on how you can be a better person in your own little church service (as a lot of "spells" are just rituals involving a certain incense or candle color and a prayer to your god to be more humble or for strength in will) Christians and Wiccans have more in common then they like to admit...and don't get lost in the Christian rhetoric of Satan-worshiping that's just a bunch of hogwash

Yes you can become a Christian Wiccan because in the old Christian texts there are references of Jesus speaking of a Holy Mother named Shekinah(Sophia) so there is your goddess and if you don't believe me you can read the Dead sea scrolls or Gnostic Gospels or Gnosticism. And I don't think that  Magick Wiccans do is the same as what Christians think. In the old days Magick was thought as summoning demons to do ones will. Magick to us is not supernatural and isn't a sin it is merely asking god's help for helping our problem.Magick is not nor was it ever evil, it is simply Prayer with props sort of like Catholicism. Also Witchcraft isn't today what Christians May have though about it 1000's of years ago. We don't summon demons to do ones will and Wicca doesn't require you to renounce your old faith to come to a new one Wicca doesn't have set deities so if you want to Incorporate Shekinah and Yahweh(Jehovah) As your god by all means do it. And witchcraft was good until the inquisition said it was bad so it remained bid. And don't ask a Christian minister whats a witch is I mean would you as  Hindu what Catholicism is.

The path of Wicca is more of a spiritual path vs a religious one. There are Christian Wiccans out there. They still believe in God and the Bible, but they also have a 'relationship' with the Earth and all of Mother Natures creatures. The Wiccan Rede "And Harm Ye None, Do What Ye Will" sums up the 10 commandments rather well I think. People who aren't open minded to new things can oft be ignorant and intolerant of things they don't understand or want to understand. You'd be better off finding a group online and asking honest and well-meaning questions. I hope I helped and blessed be.

Wicca does not hold Satan as a god, if you look deep into the background of the history there is not ONE who even acts or seems like Satan. Wicca is a peaceful religion of peace that believes in the connection of all living things: Spirit and Elements. Which is dominated(or given by the Goddess and the God).
Plus remember that the writings in the bible are accounts and 'stories' written by people. The part about witches was probably added by some fanatic.
Plus you are not a true Wiccan or christian by taking advantage by using the Goddess than insulting her by 'cleansing' yourself. Shame. If you feel that way dont do it at all or LEARN about it. Theres nothing wrong bout LEARNING about it.
I am right now.

P.s. it also says 'An if ye harm none, do what ye will' whats wrong with that??

Jonnie,

I don't know the answer to this question. I would guess that it would be no. However, the god of Wicca is not Satan! Wiccan's do not believe in the devil and Wicca is white majic not black. Part of the Wiccan Rede states, "Do what ye will but harm none". There is no darkness in Wiccan. You may be confusing Druid, which I believe is black majic.

You can not because Christianity only allows one god. And seeing Mary as a goddess would already be "breaking the rules". Where as the entire wicca faith is based on worshiping many different gods and would be taking away from the religion to try and narrow it down like that. People need to do spiritual searching and find which one suits them.

Wiccan's can embrace the christian God into their beliefs, I have met many Christian Wiccan's.

Joanne is wrong, Wiccan's do not worship satan, or any evil spirit/god/goddess, Wiccan's believe in the ancient God's and Goddesses from many mythology's, usually those of norse, egyptian, greek, celtic or roman mythology's. Most Wiccan's (except those of Christian-wicca beliefs) do not believe in Satan, and are taught to live by the rule "An ye harm none do what ye will".

A christian-wiccan however follows Christian teachings AND wiccan teachings and connects them together. Some christian wiccan's may follow christian teachings, but instead of praying, they do spells and pagan-originated rituals to connect with Jesus. Whereas others may follow Wiccan beliefs, but worship the Christian god... so not neccessarily christian, but the Christian god is part of their workings.

Hope this helped. I know I'm two years late here hahaha, but I want those who google this or whatever to read something PROPER instead of the other crap on this page about wiccan's worshipping satan!

I'd have to wonder honestly, cause I was a wiccan for 13 years and recently went to christianity.  My reasons for doing that are personal, but I honestly can't say that the two mix that well as they both have very very different perspectives on life and death and what not.  One true God VS a whole bunch of different Gods.  I suppose it depends on your level of devoution but if you are a christian I don't see how it would work.

Well, while I will mostly agree with what has been said as far as it not being possible, I'd just like to point out a few things:

1 - Just have to get it off my chest . . jonnie'scomment "The Christians God is a God of light but the god of the wiccans is satan and is a god of darkness. He is evil while God is pure and holy. You can't serve two god's at once." is ENTIRELY false for the following reasons:
a) the "god of the wiccans" is in fact only half of the picture, the other half being the Goddess.
b) these are neither evil nor dark, and far from satan (especially since most Wiccans will tell you that "Satan" doesn't exist)
c) You *can* serve two gods at once. In fact, there's even a legit term for it! polytheism: the doctrine of or belief in more than one god or in many gods. Why, when it comes to Wiccans, polytheism is the way of life. So just because a certain religion says that you can't IN THAT SPECIFIC state of belief, that doesn't include others.

2) In most Christian religions, i.e. Catholicism, you are told that polytheism is wrong. It's like trying to have your cake and eat it too...Picking out bits and pieces of religions or beliefs that you like doesn't mean that you can call yourself "of" that faith. At the same time, your beliefs are your beliefs. But something tells me that if you try to join a coven with a "God Rocks" or Jesus fish on your car, you'll likely not be accepted for initiation.

3) Magic and Christianity have a history of not mixing.

4) To be Wiccan doesn't mean that you cast spells and whatnot. Wicca is a belief, a "religion" (if you will), a spirituality, much like Christianity (not belief-wise, but in that it involves belief in the first place). I also find Wicca to be about self-love and discipline, but there are few rules. In short, casting spells to claim you are Wiccan is in fact, not pc, but please don't think I'm telling you not to do it . . . by all means, like I said, what you believe is what you believe.

Just for the record, I'd like to ask jonnie not to participate in this conversation anymore unless he keeps the egocentric views out. "My god is better than your god" and so on is not only going to NOT help your argument, it will also make you look incompetent. I'm sure all here know that Christians don't approve of Wicca, etc, etc, etc. Why not just leave it at that?

No it would be an affront to both religions. Either one or the other. Christianity is a good religion and you would destroy the basic teachings of it by practicing Wicca and Wicca is a good religion that takes you being one with yourself to even be involved in and if you can't practice one or the other you aren't really at one with yourself...

We basically respect all living creatures and nature we worship 'the divinity' or the 'the one' which is everything - male female, unlike Christians we believe male and female are equal and don't believe only males can be gods or priests- thats right, females arnt allowed to be priests in Christin religion and Christians are far from understanding- the are against anything thats considered not normal- homosexuality, race, religion, wicca accepts everyone including anyone of any race or sexual orientation. thats it so dont call us a 'cult' or that w worship the 'devil' because u dont know what your talking about and shouldnt spread lies about us like your ancestors did- saying wiccans are 'evil'.

I believe you can, because the god of Christianity is the same god that is worshiped by Islam and Judaism. If such varied religions worship Him, why can't Wicca? Also, many Wiccans are polylatric, meaning that they are polytheistic, but also accept the existence of other gods than the ones that they worship, including the Christian god.

Yes, you can use the Christian God in the same way that you could use a god from any other religion . . . it's not different. You wouldn't be Christian, per say, because of all of the things mentioned in the previous posts, but if you feel an allegiance to that God then there is no reason you can't.

Think about it for a minute . . . Wicca has no Gods (that is, names) of its own . . . there is a specific idea of what the God/Goddess is and it's relation to the overspirit, but names and formalities are typically borrowed from other, older religions -- Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Christian included.

I am Roman Catholic. I practice wiccanism as well. Wiccans are people who hold a higher appreciation of nature. According to my research andpersonal opinion, you can use magic to a certain extent. your trust in God must be absolute, but why shouldn't you use your natural abilities to help people? First you pray, then you divine. It is unhealthy for you to constantly use magic, so be careful. God bless you.

God is all powerful and merciful. He gives all that we ask or imagine that is sufficient to meet our needs. He prospers those He chooses and allows trials for our growth. The Bible specifically exhorts all to turn from "wickedness" and seek the face of God. (Gal. 5:20, Nahum 3:4, Micah 5:12, 2Chr. 33:6, 2Kings 9:22) Therefore, seeking a better life through wiccan is evil in God's eyes. BTW, 2Chr. 33:6 even warns that you will provoke God's anger. No, you cannot be a Christian and practice wiccan and expect to be forgiven. No Christian who loves and serves the Lord, Creator of all, would even consider such a thing. May God give you wisdom and understanding and a desire to seek His face. With prayers for you, our hope is in the Lord.

The great spirit is in everything and takes on many forms. So if you beleive there is a god and Jesus was a great teacher you can still beleive the great spirit takes on two characteristics as the god and goddess.

You don't have to worship the God or Goddess if you don't want to. Christianity is not against magic. So sure you can use God as the God and Mary as the Goddess. It's up to your choice

There is no such thing as Christian/Wicca. To be a Wiccan requires that your Goddess be a Moon Goddess and that your God be a Horned God. We do not worship the mythological Christian entity "Satan," though almost all Christians think and assert that we do. You cannot perform actual magick and remain Christian. It is Biblically condemned in more than one passage of scripture. Christianity is monotheistic. Wicca is polytheistic, pantheistic, duotheistic and henotheistic (or some combination of those four), but it can never be monotheistic.

First off, let me say this: WICCANS DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN, OR ANYTHING LIKE SATAN!!!!
In fact, Wiccans don't even believe Satan exists, rather, Christians are the ones who came up with the guy in the first place. Both religions are equally fine choices that can lead you on a fun, enlightening spiritual journey (I've experienced both religions firsthand to know this!), but you must take into consideration that their structures are very different, which can make it very hard to practice both. If you do choose to blend, though, blend wisely and make sure you know what the heck you're worshiping! :-D

Also to answer the question ,no, you cannot be a Wiccan and Christian at the same time. Wiccans belive in several Gods and Godesses, not just one. Also, in Wicca there is no such thing as Heaven or Hell, the devil and god are not a part of Wicca, and as was stated before magik is forbidden by the bible.

because god didn't dictate the bible...MAN DID...to put themselves in charge.

there is no god or goddess there is meny.

in the christian religon there is one god and he has meny demi gods or angels doing much of the work for him. there is over 12 billon of them if not more. there are angels for every hour for days months weeks diffrent planets you name it theres an angel for it. there is no heaven or hell. hell is earth. god gives you a chance to do the right thing and go past earth to another level or planet sinners get reincanated and come back to earth until they learn from there mistakes. now in wiccan  there is a male god  and a female goddess
meny mistake the male as satan. this is a common christian mistake. for the male in wiccan is a horned being and the female is of the moon. its all how much knowledge you know and what path you wish to fallow. wiccan is alot like christain the only diffrence is in meny christian churchs the mistakes of your actions seem much more then wiccan
but if u notice in both wiccan and christain the message is almost the same. harm none
so in conclution. god just wishs you to be kind to one another he doesnt judge you for who u are only what u do and how u treat others. in this i mean if u do harm he will punish you. if you harm others u will be punished

in wiccan its the same do as yee will but harm none.

even though the christian god is different from that of the wiccan gods and goddesses, those of wiccan aren't "satan" or "evil." there are parts of both religions which people don't completely agree with, such as the crusades in the middle ages where people killed in the name of their god. you can not be of both religions because christians do not believe any part of any other religion is acceptable and scorn those who believe otherwise.

I know this is late coming but I just stumbled acrossed it.  N, you cannot be Wiccan and Christian at the same time, Mgaick has nothing to do with it, you can practice witchcraft and still be christian, but Wicca is a religion.  Not all witches are Wiccan.  Wicca is a religion with different beliefs and tenets than christianity.  Wicca has nothing to do with Satan or the such, they are not evil, nor do they even believe in a source of absolute evil. Wiccans simply have different beliefs, which do not coincide with christian beliefs.

It is not possible to be a Wiccan and a Christian at the same time.

The Christian religion is unaccepting and exclusionary of any forms of magick or witchcraft. That religion would doom you to hell.

The Wiccan religion, though more accepting, still has some basic theological points that are incompatible with Christianity. For example: Wicca is polytheistic (honoring multiple gods and goddesses) and pantheistic (seeing divinity as immanent in the natural world). Christianity is monothestic (only one god) and transcendent (seeing divinity as aloof from nature). Also, traditionally, Wicca's primary Deities are a Goddess of the Moon and Stars and the Horned God. Mary isn't a Goddess of the Moon and Stars. And "Big Bible God" is not a Horned God.

There are many others, but these are the most obvious incompatibilities.

umm..wow to that last one..probably do research before assuming everything not christian is evil.. by wiccan standards its okay.. its not okay by christians.. because christianity is a monothestic religion, and therefore you cannot beleive in multiple gods. but its oaky to beleive in some of the same beliefs, such as meditation and similar things.

Personally I think you can. If, like the good Christian's view of Evolution, you believe that all the products of your wiccan nature is from the one true God, that all the nature "gods" are not gods themselves but Jesus Christ embodied in the trees and so forth.

Hiya there are many people that use the christian version of the god in their rites and use mary as a goddess. In my opinon its what ever you feel most comfortable with. And for those not in the know witches don't worship satan. Satan is a christian belief and therefore has nothing to do with witchcraft. The craft is merely a nature based religon where we treat all living things with respect.

The God and Goddess of Wicca are nothing to do with Satan - Wiccans don't even acknowledge the existence of Satan. The view that Wiccans worhip Satan is a myth dreamt up by some people who claim to be Christians.

The Wiccan Rede (or 'Wiccan Rule') clearly states "An it Harm None, Do What Thou Wilt", which is Old English for "If It Harms None, Do What you Want" - obviously if a person worshipped an evil God, they would be supporting evil which is clearly against the Wiccan Rede.

In short, Wiccans are generally peaceful, nature-loving persons who worship a God and Goddess who are loving beings.

I don't really see a problem with it. Both Christians and Wiccans believe in a lot of the same things with some differences. For the magick part, I'm not as sure. Although both God and the Lord and Lady are all good, the Catholic religion seems to think that Wiccans worship the devil, or are evil, which is false.

Wicca is a earth religion, it does not mean you serve the devil. it means you serve the earth goddess Gaia.  It is a peaceful religion. and real Wiccans don't believe in a devil, just a goddess. all you repliers are terribly mis informed. and i suggest you get some research before you answer such a question. Also practicing Magic is as part of being wiccan as
going to church is in Christianity. most people do it but if god is all around do you really have to?
also, wicca does deal with more than one god which goes against Christian rule. so if you want to be true to your religion then i suggest you only pick one or the other.

you can't serve two masters you will love and serve only one because a "house divided against itself cannot stand" God and satan are two different leaders with two different belief systems you can serve only one the Bible teaches if you plan out a sin on purpose like christianwiccan said "there is no more sacrifice for that sin" like the difference in a court of law here on earth in a murder that is done in the heat of strong emotion will get you less time than a premeditated murder will christianwicca in itself cannot exist because christian comes from God and wicca comes from satan

Jonnie, no offense needed but I have practiced Wicca for over 2 years now, I believe if you are going to comment about my religion (Wicca) then please at least know what your talking about. The Wiccan Goddess and God are NOT evil or of Satan. If you honestly wanted to get into religious thing think of it this way... in the Christian faith the bible states that God is a God of love, but also a jealous god (no gods before me). In stating this think of the male God in Wicca the male traits and the Female Goddess as love, kindness, child birth,.. etc. Last time I checked a God of love is not a evil God, or a God of Satan.

first off just to make this clear i am wiccan. that being said i was once too a strong believer in the christian faith..
to answer your question you can not mesh two religions into one (believe me i've tried and all you gain from that is being exiled from both religions), that is if you plan on joinging a coven,, HOWEVER if you want to be a solitary practitioner than you can do whatever the hell you want.. as for jonnie the oh-so-educated woman who posted before me, wiccans ARE NOT CHRISTIANS therefore they do not believe IN SATAN and there is NOT one specific GOD of wicca, how can satan be the god of wicca if they dont believe in his existance??..(notice how she put 'the christians god' in capital letters while she put 'the god of the wiccans is satan' in lower case, she obviously is being rather biased towards another religion, and that my friends is what we call prejudice and she is therefore violoting our first right given to us as americans(assuming that we are all americans here, however i may be seriously incorrect, and if that is the case i do appoligize))

i think that should clear things up a bit...

Wiccans dont worship Satan. Saying that is pretty ignorant. Though the Wiccan religion does have more then one Deity. Some Wiccans decide they want to weave Christianity into their own religion by proclaiming the Green Man is the Christian God and worship him as thier main Deity. But to really proclaim yourself as a Christian Witch is really an oxymoron, considering that Christians believe spellcraft is wrong.

some of the above comments contain some of the most unfounded allegations of ive ever seen.  I'm christian myself however i have done research in wicca and this is how it boils down to.  NO of course you cant use the christian god in wicca because wicca beleives in other gods, principally the mother goddess Marianna, not Satan.  If you where to use the christian god, then it really would be some new religion because you certainly would not be considered wicca.  wait why am i answering this, this is a ridiculously stupid question
