Check Engine Light came on in my 1996 Chrysler Sebring JX convertible. I had to replace sensors by transmission because in drive acceleration is non and void. It cost $250.00 to replace, I am at over 80,000 miles.  Anyone else with this problem? I have no warranty anymore on it and Lord knows the dealer would rob you blind.

happened to me too in my 1998 Sebring JXI convert. coupe, replaced sensors and check engine light comes back on after 2200 miles , I am at 54k.
no one has a solution, but they all say no need to repair or replace transmission, just sensors over and over. this is nuts.

Hi Hargrove,
I also ran into the engine light problem with my Sebring.  I had mechanics reset the chip about three times after they mentioned that a gas line pressure loss was the reason.  I finally (after 110,000) decided to ignore the light.... it comes on and off periodically but I'm not going to pay $250 to solve it....meantime...have you had any problems with the engine overheating even though there is NO water loss?    Take care

I have a question for you and maybe you can help me. Where is the fuel relay switch located on the 1996 Chrysler Se Bring?
