I was asked in an interview regarding SRC. Can any one please explain about it to me.

It can be SRS, Software Requirement Specification. This is the detail of the software you are going to develop and then test. Usuallt this is done mainly by developers.

Software Requirement Specification.A tester should carefully first read it becoz he/she should know what he/she is going 2 test.Moreover SRS is prepared by that person in the company who have good domain knowledge on that particular domain.

Software Requirement is the most important phase of a software life cycle.Bcoz if the requirement is not a baselined one and is changing from time to time,this will affect all other phases like coding,design,testing.
