World War 2 started because of what happened to Germany in World War 1. Everything in Germany before the time of World War 1 was actually made in different countries, and during the war, everything was practically destroyed. Germany had no way to pay back for the damage, and they had no way to get back on track- in fact, they were trapped under debts. So the people of Germany and the government decided with Hitler's idea about the Jews to take over many countries, and gain money and power the wrong way.

people believe World War 2 started in 1939. On August 31, 1939, Hitler and the Nazis staged a Polish attack on a minor German radio station in order to justify a German invasion of Poland. On September 1, Hitler declared war on Poland stating one of his reasons for the invasion was because of "the attack by regular Polish troops on the Gleiwitz transmitter."
