you have to be 18 anywhere in the US unless you have your legal guardian present.

see i just read that too but the tatoo places say that its some new law that i cant get mine until im 18 whats up with that?!!!!!

No. It varies state to state. It's usually 18. But you can get it before then if you have a parent or guardian. In CT it's 16.
