Why does my dog eat sand? She gets plenty of food to eat, has toys to play with and chews??????????????I recently had some landscaping done and sand was used to level our turf grass.....HELP!

It is possible she is not getting enough minerals in her food. Sand has a salty mineral type taste to dogs. See your vet.

There's nothing wrong with eating sand. I eat sand, white sand with cheese! Don't worry, you won't be allergic.

mayb keep ur dog away from the sand then he cant eat it!!!
