the deal with the bandanas in the pit is all about the style when you are in a hardcore pit it is all about the stlyle from what you wear to the way you throw your fist to beat

I personally wear a wet bandana over may face at many shows because everybody in the room is smoking and I cant stand to breath that stuff. I havent really seen many others doing this.

Bandanas are commonly worn to prevent second-hand smoke or other harmful substances from entering the body.  If they are worn in the pit, they could be the aid to a bloodied up young person...or  just a 'fashion statement'.

um, i heard it was because of dust. cause its hard to breathe with all this dust flying everywhere.
but it could also just be a fashion thing.
