What is the perfect reptilian pet for a small tank and is able to take care of its self for a while!

Well it depends how long your expecting it to take care of it self. I would say probably a turtle. If you leave enough food and some water in the cage like in a big shallow bowl it should be fine for a while.

Id say a leopard gecko. All you do is leave the light on 24/7 which is what they need otherwise temps get to cold. And throw about 1-2 dozen crickets in and it will hunt them for about a week before they get them all and they have a little fat reserve in thier tail that they can live off of for a while. And with them as and adult ull end up with a 20 gal maybe a 30 if its a big one
