How can I get A/UX to work on my performa 550?

I installed a FPU and an ethernet card, and it still hangs and gives me a blank screen in installation at the LOADING stage. I assume this is where it starts AUX, but I get a blank screen. Any help would be much appreciated

I believe that, on the performa 550, the video drivers don't work. If you can manage to get past that though then you can  still run it using a serial terminal.
